Own a Cleaning Franchise Business in Portland, OR
Build a profitable cleaning business in Oregon’s largest market
Why Choose a Cleaning Franchise Business in Portland?
Portland is Oregon’s largest metro and its economic engine, full of busy professionals who outsource cleaning, with a steady short-term rental market on top. The City of Portland keeps registration simple and the Oregon SBDC offers free startup help. You are not inventing a market here, you are tapping a proven system into one that already works.
CUTTING-EDGE TECHNOLOGY STACK
Our proprietary franchise software runs the parts of the business that usually eat your time, from scheduling and dispatching to customer messaging and payments. Your hours go toward growing the Portland operation, not drowning in admin.
LOCATION-INDEPENDENT OPERATIONS
Run your Portland cleaning franchise from anywhere. A home office, a coffee shop down the street, or a beach halfway around the world. The model is built to be operated remotely, so the business fits your life instead of the other way around.
WORLDWIDE TALENT NETWORK
Hire reliable local cleaners through a streamlined system, backed by global tech and support teams that keep the whole operation running. You get proven hiring and management methods instead of figuring out staffing on your own.
LOCAL COMMUNITY CONNECTION
Owning the Portland territory means building real relationships across Beaverton, Hillsboro, Lake Oswego, and Tigard, serving everything from busy family homes to the city’s short-term rentals.

How Much Money Do I Need to Start a Cleaning Business?
Wondering whether you can actually afford to own a franchise? The answer tends to surprise people. Starting a cleaning franchise in Portland usually takes between $10,000 and $80,000 in total investment, which makes it one of the most affordable franchise opportunities available today. Unlike restaurant or retail franchises that demand huge upfront costs, a low-cost cleaning franchise lets you start lean and scale as you grow. The full pricing and costs breakdown has the exact numbers.
INVESTMENT THAT ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE
There is no costly build-out, no commercial lease, and no fleet of vehicles to finance. Your money goes toward launching and growing, not sinking into overhead before you have your first customer.
WORK FROM ANYWHERE, DAY ONE
Because the model is remote from the start, you are never tied to a storefront in Portland. You can run and grow the business from wherever you happen to be.
SKIP THE CONSTRUCTION CHAOS
No permits, no contractors, no months of renovations before you can open. You can be operating in Portland in a fraction of the time a brick-and-mortar franchise would take.

“It’s scary to go into business by yourself. I would not suggest anyone to do it by themselves. The support you get from MaidThis, it’s not just the training and the knowledge, its the live experience from other locations. There is so much more than just the training, there’s constant support and collaboration.”

“MaidThis had an operating model that fits what I was looking for. Plus I think I had a chance to get to know MaidThis through our conversations with the team. Ultimately, what made me decide to sign up was that it tied back to my family and where I was in my life at that time — it just felt like the right fit.”

“I was looking for a company like this without even knowing it existed. There aren’t many franchise companies out there with the kind of advanced technology platform that MaidThis offers—it’s truly unique. It felt like the perfect opportunity at the right time in my life to invest and take that step.”

“What I really liked about MaidThis was that it already had an established system in place. We were looking at following that system and having someone like a franchisor who has already done their due diligence in the marketing, in the systems and things like that.”

“The maid service business model is built around recurring revenue, which I really liked. You’re not just doing a one-and-done job and scrambling to find new customers. Instead, if you do a great job the first time, customers want you back—whether it’s weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. It creates a steady and reliable stream of business.”

Frequently Asked Questions
What franchise opportunities are available for veterans in Portland?
Veterans tend to thrive in this model, and we back that up with dedicated franchise opportunities for veterans, including a 10% discount on the franchise fee plus prioritized onboarding and introductions to other veteran owners.
How quickly can I start making money with a cleaning franchise?
Most owners launch within 60 to 90 days of signing, depending on training and local registration. Revenue builds as you book and retain clients, and the remote model keeps low overhead from eating into those early earnings.
Do I need cleaning experience to become a franchise owner?
No. Most of our owners came from other fields entirely. The systems, the technology stack, and training are built to get newcomers up to speed without prior cleaning or franchise experience.
What makes MaidThis different from other cleaning franchises?
A fully remote model, proprietary software, and a focus on both residential and short-term rental cleaning set it apart, along with hands-on support that does not stop after launch. You operate the business, not a mop.
Can I expand to multiple territories in Oregon?
Yes. Many owners start with one territory and grow into additional ones as their operation matures. If you want to build something bigger in Oregon, the model supports it.
What ongoing fees should I expect as a franchise owner?
Like most franchises, there are ongoing royalty and brand fees. The exact structure is laid out in the Franchise Disclosure Document and on the costs page, and your discovery call walks through the full picture.
